The Year of Manifesting

Although Code of the King is the first book in a series of mystical-historical-new age thrillers, it also lays the groundwork for the whole series which includes alternate reality, alternate history, and the journey of one woman as she undergoes her own psychological transformation in the pursuit of ancient wisdom and how it relates to the mysteries of 2012 and the years beyond.

As you may know, book 2 is complete and book 3 is in its final stage, the editing and revisions going through their various hoops which, I believe, makes this book my best writing. The process of creation is a most wonderful human endeavor, one I love and cherish that can actually be a big part of my life. Because of the high energies that are present on the earth, this is a great time to be alive--one which can infuse whatever area of creativity we're drawn to. I urge you to tune in to the high vibrations around you, call in your spirit guides and angels and clear the way for the manifestations of your dreams and hopes.

This is the year of manifesting. 2010 has been declared the year of bringing to reality the positive patterns of change, focusing not on fear and negativity, but personal creativity to empower ourselves. Take the time to join with others to bring about healing and peace to our own lives and to the world. This is one invocation that can be used: From now on, I create balance, harmony, peace and healing in my life. And so it is.

Chapter 16 Excerpt: The Find of a Lifetime

Sydney adjusted the light as she stretched out on her belly, leaning her head into the hole. The glyphs seemed to be a rhyme--some kind of verse. She held onto the table leg and stretched further over the gaping hole. Trying to read the first line of the verse, her excitement rose, causing her hand to slip off the leg. Before she could right herself, she tumbled into the chamber. She hit the floor hard, kicking up dust that hung in the air. Gasping for breath, she lay on her back fearing the worst. Was anything broken?

The cave was huge, high-domed and rugged with stalagmites the size of temple columns. Then she saw it--a cartouche amid the symbols. She raised herself and crawled to the wall, bait held by the light, feeling herself in the throes of a peak experience only dreamed of by archeologists. Grid hieroglyphs, written in the form of the ancient of ancients and read either from right to left or vice versa. But the writing wasn't that old. What an anomaly! And something else stood out, something odd. The glyphs faced neither right or left. They faced both right and left, running together in a way that made no sense. She had never seen anything like this and felt totally out of her element. Yet it all somehow seemed ... familiar.

She had literally fallen into the biggest find of her life. Her senses became heightened with a fear that could easily overwhelm her. And at times her fear of panic was greater than the panic itself. Nothing seemed broken. But she was trapped. Alone. And scared to death.

Message from Thoth

Sydney and Thoth sat crosslegged on the floor of the Temple of the Code. He radiated power with a vaguely familiar warm glow that filled her with a sense of well-being. His was the mysterious voice she had heard since she left Santa Barbara.

"The planet is in the process of a dimensional shift. The Egyptians wrote of this time in their far future many times in the past. That is the reason for the return of the Shemsu Hor, the Followers of Horus. You have become accustomed to the quickened vibrations in the world, as many others have, allowing you easier access into the higher planes. This takes courage and responsibility because it removes people from the teachings of their traditional religious beliefs."

Sydney had faced the first challenge of initiation into the priesthood. As Set magnified her fears in the chamber, so the initiates were faced with the full horror of looking into the mirror and recognizing their truths. Their task was to overcome the fear, to pass on to the next level. She felt the same rhythm as the heartbeat of the stone in the cave, as a golden glow filled the chamber.

"Modern archeologists deny what is before their eyes, that the Egyptians were far more awakened than they can ever imagine or even accept. You have felt the heartbeat of the planet. You are conductors of this energy, attuned to the cosmic beat, reorienting the chaotic particle fields surrounding the planet. The Shemsu helped steady the planet thousands of years ago. I taught them 'As Above, So Below,' as the first lesson. You will again aid Gaia in her purification process and then ascend into the higher dimensions, and this time your karma will be complete."

New Horizons

A new year begins and we all have the opportunity for a fresh start. For me new horizons are opening up in the form of book signings, readings, and presenting some workshops I've never done before. But why not? Code of the King has many threads weaving through it and offer opportunities to explore them with my readers. One of the surprises is readers' interest in hieroglyphs. I gave a brief lesson in the ancient art of picture writing and how the Egyptians were more right-brained than we are, which is one of the reasons it took so long for the glyphs to be decoded.

We think differently than they did and if we can put ourselves in their shoes, and minds, we'd be able to understand some of the mysteries. As Sydney says in the book, our archeologists cannot seem to get out of the rigid time-constrained way of thinking, and so whenever they find something that's dated to 10,000 BC, they say it must be a mistake--no human lived that far back. But times are changing. Several new workshops I'll be presenting will cover that premise. Stop by if you can. Here's the schedule. See my website for complete information.
